The Mat-Su Sertoma Club is pleased to be participating in the Hearing Charities of America’s efforts to provide hearing aids to low income families. Though not all aids can be reused, each and every aid helps provide the resources to repair or acquire other hearing aids.
Hearing Charities and its parent organization, Sertoma, do not provide aids directly to individuals. The aids we collect are recycled or re-manufactured and made available to partner organizations and programs. These not-for-profit partners provide the clinical services required to fit the appropriate hearing aid.
“”Our goal is through the hearing aid donation center and community development efforts to create a network of organizations and programs to reach low-income families throughout the country. We receive a majority of our aids directly through our web site. But getting out the word about the collection effort, and the provider programs at the community level are very important.” — Hearing Charities of America
