During the third week of September, past President Jean Lindberg was able to attend the Sertoma Mountain West Regional Convention in Tucson, Arizona.
Jean is a Physical Therapist at Wasilla Physical Therapy and is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist. Jean volunteers the first Saturday of each month along with other Sertomans to provide free hearing screening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Her three days in Tucson were FULL! In addition to training and education break out sessions, there was a general session and gala dinner. She also participated in the Celebrate Sound fund raising walk sponsored by the Tucson Sertoma Club and organized through the national office.
Jean came back to the club energized and ready to focus on educating our community. Her first task was to attend the organizational meeting of the new Wasilla Library. Jean represented Sertoma to discuss possible looping of the meeting room areas and perhaps the check out counter.
