Mat Su Sertoma is dedicated to educating everyone on the importance of hearing health. Along with education, we provide free hearing screenings. This offer is open to anyone in the Mat Su Valley ages 7 and up.
The Mat Su Sertoma Club was the successful recipient of grant funds from the Noon Rotary Club for a sound proof booth. Since 2011, the Mat Su Sertoma Club has provided free hearing screening to the public. The booth was obtained from IAC Acoustics, known for their architectural, industrial and medical soundproofing nationwide.
The Mat-Su Sertoma Club has partnered with Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center/HealthQuest Therapy to offer FREE Hearing Screening once a month in their Wasilla Office. The booth has now found a permanent home at their therapy office.
Sertoman, Jean Stanefski, PT, GTS, and COHC; Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist, administers the screening with a calibrated audiometer that was obtained through a grant from Mat-Su Health Foundation.
