I’m Kat McAdams, Managing Partner of River Valley Group. As someone with profound hearing loss, I understand the impact it has on one’s life. My hearing aids aren’t waterproof, so I won’t hear your cheers as we plunge into the icy abyss… but you can make a donation instead 😉!
Because I understand the impact of profound hearing loss, this cause is close to our hearts. Hearing health is crucial, yet many don’t realize its significance. Let’s shed some light on this:
Hearing isn’t just about ears; it’s a complex process involving the brain. Untreated hearing loss can lead to brain functions being compromised, resulting in various issues like dementia, memory problems, balance problems, depression, and more. Hearing device costs are a significant barrier, with insurance often not covering them. My hearing aids cost $7,000 in 2017, and prices have only risen!
